This script was initially based on weed_rounded but grew since then.
It creates pretty abstract plants if you will.
I highly recommend to have a look at the source where the parameters are explained.

Changed in 0.4:
In 0.3 i forgot to write back the values from the config dialog. Now they work fine.

Shape Maker

Here's a little script I whipped up with tons of options including:

Random or specific shape sides
Random or specific shape radius
Random or specific CMYK color options (for each channel)
Random or specific shape rotation
Random scattering option with area density

Almost everything you would want in a shape generator... pretty fun to play with, and to draw cryptic mosaics with...

Fishbones

This tool draws fish bone like patterns (for lack of a better description). It places a copy your line at a set angle on both sides.

Make sure you play with all the options, as it changes how the tool works pretty drastically.

I have had alot of fun playing with this one, so I hope you do too.

Updated version:
- works in Scriptographer 2.0.025 (one single line of code had to change)
- fixed a small problem with the circles being placed behind the paths.

Reflector

A simple tool that draws several reflections (mirror images) of your line. Options to reflect vertically, horizontally or both. The idea for this tool came from the old mac paint, were I used to spend hours as a kid drawing kaleidoscope patterns. I haven't seen anything like it since, so here is my scriptographer implementation.

Any suggestions for improvements to the code would be welcome, I'm no professional programmer.

A feature I would have liked to add is the ability to add unlimited axis to reflect across. I don't know how to achieve this... any ideas?

These 2 scripts scatter primitive solids by dragging.
cube.js for cubes.
cylinder.js for cylinders.

gardener creates nice tendrils from a drawn path. assign one of the scriptographer-tools to the gardener script and select some objects in your document. then start drawing your shape. the selected objects will be used in a random order and size as the end objects of each created branch. make sure you tweak the script options by
a doubleclick on the assigned scriptographer-tool.

note:
you need to smooth the small branches manually. (if you zoom in close, you'll find them very edgy.) do this by selecting all the created branches, then go to the illustrator-menu > object > path > simplify.

Tile Tool
Tile Tool allows you to create and draw with Tiles.
To use Tile Tool, download the script below and the Tilesets.

User interface

• Mac users: Press the option key while drawing to not place Tiles.
PC users: press the control key while drawing to not place Tiles.
(handy for when you have to cross over other Tiles and don't want to place a Tile over them)

• Use the Tilesets pulldown to select a Tileset that you want to draw with.

• 'Refresh Tilesets' looks for Tilesets in your document and adds them to the Tileset pulldown menu. (Refreshing happens automatically most of the time)

• Use the Order pulldown to change the way Tile Tool works when the selected Tileset has multiple corner tiles:
- Top Most: Only selects Tiles at the top of the Tileset corner layers

- Random: Selects random Tiles
- Sequential Tiles: Places Tiles in sequence according to their position in the Tileset corner layers

- Image Pixel Values: Pick Tiles based on the darkness of the image pixel beneath it.

• The Rotation pulldown
- Straight: The standard drawing setting.
- Rotate: Rotate the horizontal and vertical Tiles 180 degrees in the drawing direction
- Rotate to Cursor: Rotates Tiles to the cursor while drawing

• Trace Selected Path traces the selected path using the active Tileset

• Create New Empty Tileset creates the empty layers needed to make a new Tileset

• Duplicate Selected Tileset makes a copy of the selected Tileset

• Set Image scales the selected image to make the size of its pixels match the size of the Tiles in the active Tileset. You can also use Set Image to move a raster back into the Tile grid after you've moved it

• Raster Selection prepares the selected items for tracing by rasterizing them in the resolution of the active Tileset.

(Use the last two options in combination with Image Pixel Values in the Order pulldown to trace images)

Text Pencil lets you draw with text.

Note: To use Text Pencil you will need to download and install the latest version of Scriptographer (2.0.024 or above)

I used an earlier version of Text Pencil to create a poster

New features in v1.5:
• Allows the use of non monospaced fonts
• Draw with words
• Perfect spacing (turn it off for less perfect spacing)
• Select the position in the text with a popup list.

this is the Sg implementation of the super shape formula found here:
http://astronomy.swin.edu.au/~pbourke/curves/supershape/

the code is l'bit dirt style, but it produces so beautiful results that
i uploaded it here.

hope that i will find some time to upload a cleaner version in the near future.

Ribbon Tool

A tool that allows you to draw with a ribbon.
The front color is based on your current fill settings.
