Scriptographer.org - Help : Raster Scripts CS3 not...

Kind Regards to all the Scripotgrapher forum users . . .

I want to preface this request for help with saying that I've thoroughly
read through the previous posts marked with similar problems in hopes of resolving this issue. I'm unfamiliar with Java and am having real difficulty getting these RASTER scripts to work.

I'm using Illustrator CS3 - on Power PC Dual 2ghz G5 /

I've successfully used raster scripts before on this machine /
under CS2 - but since then I have completely rebuilt the drive
and no longer have CS2 installed.

I follow the instructions / Opening an image ( smaller than 800x600 )
/ Creating an object / Selecting both / Pushing the PLAY button /
then setting the parameters / and waiting for the progress bar.

The Progress bar cycles through and towards the end - disappears
and nothing seems to happen. It's the same case for all the raster scripts.

I'm desperately trying to get this to work asap.
Would anyone here be able to lend any sincere help and insight ? ? ?

Hello - I've gone about downloading the latest JRE - and installing -

I've also tried to RELOAD the SCRIPTOGRAPHER plugin from within Illustrator.

Upon attempted reload I was presented with an error message.

::: JAVA HEAP SPACE : Java out of memory . Java Lang :

or something to that effect.

Can anyone here help me address this problem.
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Try starting with much smaler images, e.g. 100x100.
Also, read about Java heap space for a way to increase the amount of memory Java recieves.

Today I finally found the source of this memory problem. It was related to caching of Java object wrappers and circular references that did not allow wrapper objects to be garbage collected. Exptect an update soon.
